This superb collection is out of print. The first volume is signed by Holmes. Each book is in an original plain white dj. All are fine save Volumes 1, 2, 3 and 7. Volume 1 has a green rub to the bottom of the spine, 2, 3, and 7 each has the volume number handwritten on the spine.

An interesting look at the women in traveling by wagon. The title is a bit misleading because there are very few letters in this book; it is mostly diaries. These women didn't quite have the emotional response I was expecting but you could see traces of their personality at times/5.
